Instant (streaming) Nostalgia (a post by Kevin Abney)
If you somehow missed the hype, as of yesterday (03.31.13): Netflix has paired with Cartoon Network (and it’s late-night timeshare partner [Adult Swim]) to bring us a cornucopia of nostalgia. Beamed directly to your TV, PC, or any number of devices with Wi-Fi connectivity we’ve dreamed up by the time I’ve posted this. (please be a toaster, please be a toaster…)
Not only are they hosting current smash-hits like Adventure Time or Regular Show, but they are digging deep into Cartoon Network’s history of greatness. With countless hours of childhood favorites added to Netflix’s already seemingly endless cache of wonder, I don’t know when I’ll see the light of day…Cartoon Network:
Adventure Time
Batman Beyond
Batman: The Brave and the Bold
Ben 10 (+ Alien Force + Ultmate Alien)
Camp Lazo
Codename: Kids Next Door
Courage the Cowardly Dog
Cow and Chicken
Dexter’s Laboratory
Ed, Edd ‘n Eddy
Foster’s Home For Imaginary Friends
The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy
Johnny Bravo
Justice League
Justice League Unlimited
My Gym Partner is a Monkey
Powerpuff Girls
Regular Show
Samurai Jack
[Adult Swim]
Aqua Teen Hunger Force
The Boondocks
Children’s Hospital
Robot Chicken
The Venture Bros.
If you’ve somehow managed to avoid getting a Netflix subscription so far, I highly suggest forking over the $7.99 a month as quickly as you can, (or leeching off a friend’s account!) to fill your eye-holes with some sweet sweet animated goodness (and I guess some live action too…)
